Process control and traceability

Case Study
Project objective

The system allows tracking of the manufacturing process in each of the processes and guarantees the traceability of the final product obtained with each manufacturing order.
Data collection is performed in several ways:

  • Manual data collection at all stations by means of designed screens.
  • Automatic collection of field data and sending to the database, by means of an automaton.
  • Automatic acquisition of production data from different machines and automatic laboratory from their own control systems.
  • Data exchange with SAP 3 system located in Madrid.
  • The information contained in the database is consulted by means of predesigned and parameterized reports that can be accessed from screens designed according to the user's privileges.
  • Database: ORACLE.
  • Application: Active Server (ASP.NET) pages residing on a server with IIS (Internet Information Services) developed with Visual Studio.NET. Executable via Internet from any computer in the plant.
  • Information network: Ethernet TCP-IP. Communication with other systems through file transfer in different formats.
  • Report generation: Crystal Reports.
  • Communication with SAP: Program resident in the Server. File exchange and writing to the DB.
  • Label generation: Use of bar codes and subsequent automatic reading.
  • Machine data capture: Beckhoff CX-1000. Distributed signals in PROFIBUS network.
