Control and supervision of gypsum calcination plant

Case Study

Project objective

The project consists of developing a supervision and control system for a gypsum calcination plant. The system controls all the processes and elements associated with both the air circuit and the gypsum circuit.

Technology used

The control system is based on Rockwell Automation technology:

• The supervision system (SCADA) is developed with RS-View.
• The controller is a ControlLogix. Development of the application with Rslogix 5000.
• Communications software: RSLinx.
• Controlnet configuration: RSNetworks for controlnet.
• ControlLogix-SCADA communications: They are carried out via Ethernet.
