Project objective
In order to increase production, the customer's factory facilities have been expanded to include an additional germinator.
The inclusion of this germinator has implied the installation not only of the new equipment but also of the necessary transports and equipment for the treatment of the product.
The equipment has been included as a new Batch process unit and all the processes and parameters associated with it have been generated.
The configuration of recipes is carried out by means of the Siemens Simatic Batch V8.0 software.
The system is based on Siemens hardware and software:
- Distributed control system: PCS7 version 8.0 SP1 (S7-400 PLCs and SCADA WinCC).
- Recipe management application: developed in Simatic Batch v8.0
- Information network: Ethernet.
- Control network: Profibus.
- Monitoring redundancy through a client-server system with redundant WinCC and Batch servers.
