Project objective
The objective of the project is to upgrade the control system of the furnaces that the customer has in its production plant. The project is carried out in two phases. The first phase involves the creation of an Ethernet and Profinet network infrastructure both for communication with the supervisory equipment (SCADA and Trends) and between the PLCs. The second phase would replace the PC and screen where the SCADA resides as well as the existing panels and other equipment.
Technology used
S7-400 and S7-1500 PLC's with Profinet interface, Profibus CPS of S7-1500 and Profibus headers ET200M and ET200SP to maintain the existing Profibus peripheral network. Wireless equipment for Profinet communication between PLCs. Comfort Panel 15" panels, 24 port managed switch, Scada Intouch (10.0), TIA Portal programming and InSQL trending system.
