Case Study
Project objective
Complete remodeling of the entire generating plant control system without stopping generation. The control system of each engine is made independent and centralized in a single supervision system.
Technology used
- The control system is based on Woodward and Siemens technology. The supervisory system (SCADA) is developed with iFIX 4.0.
- Woodward includes motor control (Atlas SC) and energy management (EGCP3).
- Siemens (S7-400) is responsible for communications management and control of auxiliary equipment.
- Local display in the panel developed with WinCC Flexible on a Siemens MP-370 panel.
- Supervision system developed in iFIX with two redundant servers.
- Modbus communication.
Benefits obtained
Complete plant renovation with centralized supervision.
