Project objective
The project consists of integrating into the facility 10 new storage silos, two truck reception areas, product dispatch and the necessary equipment for vacuuming, transporting and dispatching the dust generated in the movement of the customer's product.
The system is directly connected to the corporate administrative system that manages the entry and exit of product from the facility. It will be necessary to verify with the administrative system any operation that the operator wants to perform and return to it the result of the operations performed.
The automatic processes to be controlled are listed below:
- Barley reception, truck unloading control from both areas.
- Silo loading.
- Product shipment.
- Dust suction and conveying.
- Expedition of dust and waste.
- Data exchange with the administrative system.
Technology used
The system is based on Rockwell Automation hardware and software:
- Supervision system: RS-View32 (3 stations).
- Automaton: ControlLogix.
- Control networks: Ethernet.
- Device networks: Devicenet (E3, SMC, Flex, Hardy modules) and Remote I/O (scales).
- Database: DB2 from IBM.
- Control system - database interface: RS-SQL from Rockwell Software.
